Privacy Note: There is only one place in the App where any information is sent to me. When you type something, choose one of the five checkboxes and click 'SEND' (when you are connected to WiFi), the following information is sent along with your idea: Phone Manufacturer: asus This is to better serve you when you have a problem. I can tell whether your phone has enough memory to run the product, and I can tell that the particular version and API code may not work with your type of phone. This information is never sold to another party, nor is it distributed, nor is it able to be seen by anybody buy me when I read my E-Mails. If you type your E-Mail address in the main part of the text area and click the Knocker, it will include your E-Mail address in the Title of the Message to me to mark it 'SPECIAL HANDLING' so I know something important that I need to see is being sent. Your E-Mail address will not be used in any other way than to reply to you if I have the time. The E-Mail address will not be sold or given to any other company. It will only be visible to me when I'm reading my E-Mails. If I open the E-Mail to read it, at the top it will say: E-Mail Address: Test@Test.com If you don't want me to know your E-Mail, don't include it in the text. Even if you do include your E-mail address (or any website) in an Idea, ONLY AFTER YOU HAVE CLICKED THE KNOCKER TO MARK IT AS 'SPECIAL DELIVERY' will it make your E-Mail address appear in the title of that message to me. Also, the following information is sent: Time: 9:11 am - 11/03/2014 If, under the Privacy section of your phone's settings you have turned-on the ability for others to see your Location, your course Latitude and Longitude will be sent. It will look like this: Latitude, Longitude: 33.1251326, - 111.1159365 This information is merely because I'm nosy. I like to know where someone comes from when I talk to them; that interests me and it's fun to see just how far my App has travelled. Other things it might tell me depending upon what privacy settings you have set on your phone: City, State, County, Zip-code, Country of Origin, Closest Feature, Altitude, Speed (never seen this actually send anything yet, but it's interesting information). These are only sent if your phone's security and location settings are set to allow it. No information is ever sent outside the Ideas panel, and never unless you click on the SEND button. If you type your E-Mail address in the text... but don't mark it 'SPECIAL DELIVERY' by clicking on the knocker, the E-Mail will still be embedded inside your message; but it won't separate it for me at the top of the message. If you don't want me to know any of that information, don't send me complaints, ideas or comments. Even after you have clicked SEND, no information that is sent is sold off to any other company and the information is not used to target you better; I am a simple man. If you have your GPS turned-off when you click SEND, no Location data can, of course, be sent to me. I am currently Debugging the App; so will be capturing DEBUG information which will give me clues to troubles I'm having with an ANR window which sometimes pops-up (ANR stands for 'Application Not Responding'. A window appears with a 'WAIT' and 'CONTINUE') on some phones. If you are having this problem, tell me exactly what you were doing when it occurred (The App had been running for many hours, you had put it into pause mode, when you turned it back on: such as, "...it kept showing the window and you had to restart the App to make it go away"... detailed like that in the IDEAS panel with the 'Bug found' checked. Debug information is sent without having clicked on the SEND button. This will only occur during the initial DEBUG phase of the App. If it bothers you that I am gathering Debug information, send me an 'IDEA' that specified that and I will put you on the 'DO NOT GATHER DEBUG INFORMATION' list. This will stop all DEBUG information from being sent from your device. Allowing me to gather DEBUG information greatly benefits you as it tells me intricate information about what might be occurring during problem phases. The basic phone information can not be blocked if you click SEND. Can't imagine why people wouldn't want me to know what brand of phone they use, or how many MB of RAM are available, though. Big Brother Might be Watching You... but I'm not the problem. I'm just a nosy guy who finds it interesting what country you come from and what your altitude was when you were driving at 100 miles-per-hour the instant you sent the E-Mail to me. ;) What'll be funny if some day an E-Mail arrives that says: Then I'll finally have proof that UFOs are here, and they're using my App. |
